What is massage therapy?

Massage Therapy manipulates soft tissues (connective tissue, muscle, tendons and ligaments) of the body in order to help alleviate stress in areas such as the back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet. Massage can also aid with headaches and sports injuries such as sprains, strains and spasms. By decreasing muscle resting tension, massage  therapy helps to improve body function, increase circulation, promote relaxation and prevent and/or reduce pain.
